Launching a foundation to tackle the housing crisis

We’re buzzing after yesterday’s hugely successful and sold-out Church Housing conference in London, which saw the launch of the Church Housing Foundation, a brand-new movement led by the Church of England to help respond to the housing crisis.

As our country’s housing situation worsens and the cost-of-living spirals , the Church Housing Foundation (CHF) wants to make homes that are sustainable, safe, stable, sociable and satisfying. By bringing together a network of partners from housing professions, church institutions and charities focused on this goal, everyone’s invited to get stuck in to make it happen.

From the beginning, Freedto has been embedded in this exciting work, enabling us to facilitate a communications campaign built on understanding and connection with everyone involved. This is how we love to work.

In really getting to know the team and the Foundation’s core purposes, we’ve been able to take this ambitious vision from its initial inception, breathing life into it through brand and messaging and using our know-how to make each and every idea a reality. Reflecting the Foundation’s key goals, we’ve created intuitive, creative and inspiring content for the future, alongside a first-class event to bring people together.

On the ground, we coordinated the conference, ensuring smooth programming and excellent conference facilities. The event kicked off with an impactful video made in partnership with Sonderseen about the work of the CHF.

Our team has been involved every step of the way, and as we look beyond the conference, all attendees and their networks will be able to access a bespoke online community portal, built by Freedto, to continue this movement’s momentum for the months to come, and ensure it’s a movement led by its members.

So often at conferences it’s common to come away wondering what the long-term impact might be. At Freedto, our motivation and strengths lie in thoughtful communication and the effective use of digital media to enable impact for good to become reality. We love designing campaigns which are built to last.
